CECTM Compo-Easy-Contact looks simple, which
characterizes the thourght process behind CECTM and makes the instrumentet
unique. Simple and safe to use!
The design of the "head" creates the solution to composite fillings
"Archilles' heel": Interproximal contacts in class II restorations!
Dentists have of course - by using existing products - found ways to achieve good
contacts, but till now the method hasn't been as easy and safe as when using CECTM
CECTM has numerous advantages:
- The size of the head allows a clear view of the working area.
- The head curves the same way as the proximal walls of the tooth. Both vertical and
horizontal.
- The head is rigid, so the instrument doesn't yield during the work. This makes the
procedure safer with CECTM

- Only ONE instrument! - Can be used for both molars and premolars (bicuspids) and create
either mesial or distal contact points.
The head has 3 legs with a secure rest/contact against the matrix band.
- Notice that CECTM leaves 3 "tracks" in the cured composite, and
thereby devides the shrinkage effect into more sections and hence, minimizes the total
shrinkage.
- The middle leg secures optimum proximal contact.
- The side legs provide the wide contact point.
- As composite is translucent, light curing occurs between the 3 legs, the milling pits
and around the head of the instrument. Thereby holding the matrix band out to give an
ideal contact point.
